Amy Ivester joined Rooted International’s Board of Directors in 2024 and serves as the organization’s Development Committee Chair. With more than a decade of experience across a broad range of fundraising disciplines, Amy is passionate about strengthening donor relationships and helping supporters feel deeply connected to the mission.
Amy graduated from California Baptist University in 2012 with a degree in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. She began her career with the Economic Development Corporation in Temecula, CA before moving to Sola Media in San Diego, where she discovered her talent for development work. There, she honed her skills in donor engagement, stewardship, and strategic fundraising—expertise she continues to build today.
In 2023, Amy joined International Justice Mission in Arlington, VA, expanding her impact by supporting global efforts to protect vulnerable communities. Her work centers on cultivating authentic, lasting partnerships that advance meaningful change.
Amy and her husband, Sheldon, have been married for 28 years and have two children. Outside of her professional work, Amy loves snowboarding and escaping for lowkey camping trips in her trailer with her husband and dog—her ideal version of “getting away from it all.”
