Kathy Tyler developed a passion for Honduras after the Lord placed some very special Hondurans in her life. A retired teacher with a BA in Child Development from California State University Fullerton, Kathy and Bob, her husband of 30 years, became foster parents in 2017 and quickly fell in love with the children placed in their care. Their experience fostering youth from Central America inspired Kathy and her family to start Rooted International to help support families in Honduras. She has also worked with nonprofits in Haiti, Zambia, and Tanzania. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. Kathy has served on Rooted's board of directors since 2020.
