Maddie Oliver is the President and a Co-Founder of Rooted International. Since she was young, Maddie was driven to help people in need and stand up for justice. This led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California Baptist University and a Master of Social Work from California State University San Marcos. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and works as a Psychotherapist specializing in trauma focused therapy.  Maddie also has experience serving with ministries overseas as the Missions and Outreach Director at a private Christian school. During her eight-year tenure there, she led student and parent volunteers on short-term mission trips to Haiti, Belize, Mexico, Ukraine, Zambia, and the Philippines. As a result of her professional training and personal experience, she has seen firsthand how crucial the parent-child relationship is, and how families should never be separated because of poverty. When Maddie is not busy trying to save the world, she can be found eating good chips and salsa or pastelitos with her husband Drew and their two children, traveling, at Disneyland, at the beach, or hosting friends and family.
